DO you have the right Tools?

Most of Crafting is having the right tools.  A good pair of Paper scissors and a bone folder are my top two.  Stampin' Up!'s paper snips are the best!  These samll, thin-bladed scissors provide expert cutting and even the tiniest of areas, and the precision-ground tips allow you to cut to the end of the blade  103579 Just $9.95  The Bone folder is used to score paper and to make crisp folds 102300 for just $6.95

Probably the next most used tool I have is the Mat pack with tour paper-piercing tool.  Use the paper-piercing tool to accent any crafting project.  Comes with reusable storage tube and protective cap.  116631 Just $3.50  The Mat pack use this with the paper piercing pad and paper piercing template to protect your workspace and you use the paper piecing too.  105826 $9.95
These Craft and Rubber Scissors are one of my go to's when crafting.  Use these sharp, short bladed crafting scissors to cut twine, thread, rubber, wood sheets, wire and anything you don't want to use your paper snips for!  103179 $19.95
Stay tuned for more tools you need to be a great crafter.

More from our Demo Gift Exchange

This wreath was made by Teresa Carroll.  It is just beautiful.. You have to touch it to see if it is real.  Made with our SU card stock and oval and oval scallop punches.  Love how the tips were sponges with our white craft ink.

Great Job Teresa, I'll be trying one of these too.

Do you have the right Tools?

Do you have the right Tools?  Here are both of the paper cutters available through me and Stampin Up!  I love them both.. The Table top Paper Cutter 106959 = Precise paper cutter features Stainless-steel Precision-ground blades and is ideal for cards and Scrap booking
This is a must if you want to save time cutting one sheet at a time.  I love mine.
The Paper Cutter shown here with the swing out arm has an additional scoring blade that will rock your world.  It makes cutting and scoring a breeze!  Cuts Paper up to 12" features easy to read grid lines and black base.  Measures widths up to 15 1/2   Comes with 2 cutting blades, refills included and the Scoring blades available separately.  I'd love to answer any questions you have about either of our paper cutters.  If you don't own one.. I'd be glad to order one or both for you!

Team Effort

These were inspired by My Friend Georgia!  I want 13 of these, 12 for my Big Shot Club members (Which are a GREAT Group!) and one for my gift for our Demo Meeting.  The First two are a sneek Peek at the new Fabric that will be available to all of you first part of January 2011.  All of these are made with SU Fabric, Buttons Big Shot Dies and ribbon.  The dies used are the Square Scallop and the Flowers Fold die!  My Mom( Sylvia) Sewed all of these and at my request put in zippers!  I cut the fabric squares and flowers with my Big Shot and assembled the flowers.  That are attached with a pin back so that you can take it off if you need to wash it or if you just want to wear the flower.

I think all the girls were happy with theirs,  There was no two alike.  If you sew or know someone who does.. This is a great project to start on with your Big Shot that Santa put under YOUR tree this year!

The model is my friend Georgia who designed these purses.  I had posted another one she made with a flap made with the Pendant die.  This one has a zipper in the top and a flower made with the flower fold die!  These are just the coolest!  If you don't have the big shot  put one on your Christmas list and have your Santa give me shout!  I will make sure there is one under your tree!

Christmas From the yard

I
I have some vintage Canning jars.  I saw something similar to this in a magazine.  I put my "flair" on it and put 6 together.  Potting soil along with Evergreen right from my yard.  Lucky for me they were still putting on their pine cones, even some have baby Pine cones on them.  Tied some jute ( I use to do macrama )  around the tops of the jars.  I have placed them three on my kitchen table and three behind my couch.  I'm loving them.. What do you think?
