SU's art Stencils

This is my first attempt at the Stampin' Up!'s Stencils. Wow what fun! I learn a lot. First off I bought spray aheasive to use on the stencils and I learned you don't want to spray that stuff a close range with your fan on in your stamp room.. I have spray aheasive everywhere! Even on my computer keys that was across the room when I sprayed it! I was also stuck to the floor! I'm free now. I used acrilic paint and it dries fast so was unable to move it around like I wanted, but pleased with my first attempt. THis is on a piece of canvas. I did a couple more and will post them soon. I sure hope SU comes out with some stenciling brushes 'cause the ones I bought loose their hair! and I was picking that out too. Going to try some with our die inks on paper and make a card.. I'll let you know how that goes too. Thanks for looking.

What a cool technique

My Friend Cassie sent me a card that had this technique on it. Not sue that I can explain it.. I'm a "Show me" person.. Probably why I love what I do.. I get to share what I learn. I'll be showing this technique at our Demo meeting on the 1st, along with my technique club in June. The Brown paper started out as very vanilla...It is an embossed resist along with another technique that Cassie shared with me, but I forgot the name... so When Cassie sees this on this blog I bet she could post a comment to explain. I'm so excited to be able to share it in person with you girls. Thanks for looking and I also appreciate you sharing my blog with your friends.
Jan.....BTW Organic Outline is my favorite stampset! Sure hope it doesn't retire.

I went to my friend Elizabeth's tonight and she cooked me a yummy supper and we sat around her kitchen table and made paper flowers! these are so fun. If you were at my camp last Saturday you also learned how to make these. The bottom right corner is a photo of the Occasions Mini catalog where Stampin Up! featured these flowers. Thanks to my Friend Linda from Stampingschool.com she taught me to make these. Some of mine are better than others but FUN was had making them! The Daisy die for the big shot was used for the flower and the center is our build a brads. These are just too fun you can make any kind of brad to match any thing! One Card Three colors

This is one set of the cards we made at "Just Cards Club" Monday night. These could be used for Graduations or baby or Birthdays! This lay out is right out of the SU Catalog, and I was inspired by it by Linda Heller from Stampingschool.com She brought to my attention and I used the layout and made it my own by changing it up a bit. The Scallop is the scallop circle die for the Big shot. The stamp set is the Ronald Mc Donald set a long with Garden Greetings, add some use of some punches and you could make lots of these in any color. Thanks for looking, and Hope you'll stamp something today!

A Sense of Time

Sense of Time Stamp set from our Occasions Mini Catalog. This was another card from Stamp Camp Saturday! Try to have a masculine card each month and this was my attempt. Some made this in to their Father's Day card. This clock is beautiful. Great for Scrap booking especially for heritage albums. To the Nines is the speciality card stock that is used. This is available until June 30th.. Never know if it will make the cut in to the new Catalog that will debut July 1st.

Brayered Die

This is the textured die for the Big shot. It dry embosses! just with a crank of the handle. This started as whisper white card stock. I brayered the die directly with So Saffron ink. Placed the White cardstock in the die and ran it through the big shot. WOW it's is like a Magic trick! I trimmed out the flower and it fits right on the front of the card. Added a greeting and some ribbon and what a beautiful quick and easy card. If you don't have a big shot contact me I'd love to show you all that it can do and how I feel I can't live without one! Thanks for Looking and Hope to see you soon at a stamping event soon. Remember to click on my web site on this site and view my calendar for stamping events you are welcome to attend.
