Faux Dry embossing#1

My Friend and fellow demonstrator Tabby encouraged me to try this faux Dry embossing technique.. I have been asked to be a presenter at the Cincinnati Ohio SU Regional and need to share a WOW! I think this is a WOW.. SO I've been playing with it to see if this is what I'll share. By using our new Butterfly punch, Punching the same color butterflies as the card front you can create the illusion of Faux dry embossing. Of course you can use the butterfly punch to punch out the butterfly in the "Flight of the butterfly" stampset! Love your comment.. Will post more samples tomorrow of other Faux Dry embossing.

Rising Star Swap

2005 I was honored as the #1 Rising Star award with SU.. I get to be in this group forever now and all the rising stars from past to present did a Mini Catalog Swap. This was the swap I sent in. This is the "Charming" stampset that is available in the new Mini Catalog. I used Soft Suede and Very vanilla to create this card. I'm hoping everyone will like my swap.. I'll post some of the ones I get in return once they arrive in the mail.. Swaps are so much fun!
Thanks for stopping by. Hope you'll create something today, and share it by mailing someone a card!

Stamp Camp Aug #5

Left off with Project number 4 from Stamp camp and then posted several other projects so I'm back to sharing the rest of the projects we did at Camp in Aug.. (yecks Aug is about over!) This Medallion Stamp is so beautiful.. I recieved several swaps with it from Convention and they were all a WOW. This one is Stamped in Versa Mark and the Pastels were used with our sponge daubers to create this look.. This technique is called Poppin' Pastels. It is like Magic! It WOW's me every time. The center of the Medallion is from the stamp set circle circus. It punches out with our scallop circle punch and embellished with our jumbo brads..

Message Board

Looking for gift idea that will WOW your friends! Especially when you make it yourself! Well here's one you can all make with Stampin' Up products and possibly things you have at home. Inside this frame is a piece of sheet metal covered with Stampin' Up's beautiful designer papers. Then Stamp out your favorite stamp, apply some magnets to the back of them and look at what a cute message board you've made.. A one of a kind! The "Live" is our build a brads! Using our alphabet set stamped and punched with our 1/2 circle punch take off the "legs of the brad" and apply a magnet and you could spell out ANYTHING!
Order your supplies from me via email or right from my website.. I'd love to post pics of what you come up with. ( this is a picture taken at SU's Convention's Sample boards)

according Brag Book

seems like these days when you see someone out at the grocery store or where ever you might be on your outings and they want to show you photo's of their family, they pull out their cell phone and start showing off pictures.. Why not get those pictures printed and put them in a cute 4x4 according brag book that they can actually "See" who the people are! This is a simple easy way to show off your photos and you can add to it at any time. This one will hold 4 photos but I have one that according out to hold 12! This is a project that I'm doing at my workshop this month for Scrapbookers..This show other area beside the big scrapbook that can sometimes be overwhelming and that is why we just carry those photo around in our phones.. Wonder why there is a "T" on this one.. 'cause this is one that my hostess will get to keep for having me over to share my love of Stamping with them. Contact me to book a gathering with you and your friends and I'll show you how to make this!
Thanks for stopping by and get those pictures printed!

Card or Scrapbook page?

Several months ago at one of our Demo Meetings, Tabitha show us how she would show Scrapbookers how they can use Stamps to make scrapbook pages OR same concept to make a card or vice versa. (Tabby's originals found here, http://injoytoday.blogspot.com/2008/11/upsy-daisy.html)
One of my workshop this month is going to be mostly all new stampers, and mostly scrapbookers. So I took Tabby's idea changed up the colors (inserted my son's picture) and this is what you get. Both Start as a 6x6 piece of Card stock. The Card is Folded in half and makes a 3X6 card ( that fits in Stampin' Up!'s open ended envelopes!) I love this idea.. Girls at this workshop with get to choose either making a card or a scrapbook page. This 6x6 can be layered on a 8 1/2 x 11 and then on to a 12x12 or left to make a great 6x6 by itself (which is my favorite size Scrapbooks) Hope you'll see how easy it is to incorporate stamping in your scrapbooks or make some cards! Thanks for stopping by.. Hope you Share Stamping with someone today!
