Random Act Of Kindness

 Saturday Mom and I went into a new shop in "Big" downtown Metropolis.  Cute Florist and Gift shop.  All the gifts are hand made by Stacey and they are adorable.  She had a Bird Nest Fern and I have been wanting one for a long time. I mad a comment about that and she said that that one needed some TLC and if I wanted it to take it home!  REALLY!  YES!  So I have adopted this Bird Nest Fern, and named her Stacey! 

 So I made her this Card to thank her for this Random Act of Kindness! 

 She is truly Amazing Awesome, and So So Talented.

Wedding Card

When I first saw this die ( Bird one)  I didn't think it would be one that I wanted.  But after seeing what beautiful creations other had done with it I decided to get it. 

 I played with it for hours.  I made Birthday Birds with a hat and all color birds some with different embellishments before I came up with this wedding bird.  Fun Flower is  one of my FAVORITES!  so I decided to add it . 

 The actual one I ended up with after this pic was taken the bird has a pearl necklace on.  She really looks Elegant.  

I'm hoping that my buds will like making this.  I sure had fun playing with it.  If you don't own it and you were like me and wondered what all can you do with a bird die... Get it!  You'll have a blast.  I'll share some more tomorrow.

Crayon Resist Technique

Crayon Resist is based on what we use to do to eggs at Easter time.
We'd use a crayon and draw on the boiled eggs and then when we put them in the dye ink , the ink would resist the crayon.
 What I did with this is stamp the images in basic Black ink and then colored the bunnies with a white crayon. Then colored the rest with SU markers. Taking a sponge dipped in dye ink sponges over the whole page.
 The bunnies stay white because they resist the dye ink.
 Then took a paper towel and buffed off any ink that was on top of the bunnies.
 I love how they turned out.
 This is one of the techniques I'll be showing at my Tips and Technique class.
 I also used a masking technique to make the bunnies look like they are in front of the mushrooms.

 Thanks to my friend Linda, I learned how to make these cute Button Flowers.  During Sale-a-bration you can receive Free Buttons with your $50 order.  I have been Collecting several FREE packs durning Sale-a-bration so I could make these cute Button Flowers with my Tips and Technique club that is This Thursday.  along with layering the buttons and using the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer punch and some wire.
