Layer Up Buttons

My Friend and Amazing Demo Linda Heller was a presenter at Convention and Her presentation was amazing.  It was all on buttons and the stampset Button Buddies!  This picture is of the way she show you can layer up your puttens to make your Favorite Accessory.  I am in love with this idea.. Get out your punches and other embellishments and layer up your buttons.  I'd love to see what combos you come up with.  Thank You Linda for being such a great inspiration to me!
Sorry the picture is not the best.  Remember to click on it and it will enlarge

Have a wonderful Week

I love having this "saying" in a stamp!  What a great way to send a "Just because" card.  This is in the Sweetly Said Set found on page 158 of the IBC.  I received this one free this year at convention for promotions in my group!  I was thrilled.  It is a set of 6 and has some unusal sayings!  I seem to have to have all the word stamps!  This card we made at Tips and technique class.  It showcases the Designer paper Paisley Petals.  It is beautiful!  Every sheet, both sides!    The flower is made from the 2 3/8 Scallop Circle punch, the Fancy Flower Punch and our Paper flower (that come already to use) found on page 198 of the Catalog! in the center of the flower is the 5/8 Jumbo Brad!  Perfect for this flower.  We misted the flower with Stampin' Mist ( it's always handy and also makes your flowers scented)  Wadded it up in to a ball and them allowed to dry!  After it's dry open it up and it all wrinkly and you have this look.  I love it.  Do you?  This is a Different kind of fold but for some reason when I took pics I didn't show that.  I'll feature that in a later post.

Have a wonderful week and thanks for stopping buy.

I'm sure most of you figured it out.  But I bet I wouldn't have unless I was shown.  The "Pennant Parade" Stamp set (found on page 69) can also be used for Christmas Trees!  I was thrilled to know this.  The matching punch makes it so easy to punch them out and wallla, Christmas Trees.. You can also make Icecream cones, and I'm sure there are some amazing women out there that have come up with more different things to use this set for.  So order you the Pennant Parade set along with the Petite Pennants Builder Punch (page 213) and start creating!

How to use the Letter Press plates

I love Clothes Pins!!

Yep I LOVE Clothes Pins!  They are the best Invention ever!  I don't have a clothes line anymore, but they are for so much more.  I was sad when our DSP that had the musical notes on it retired, but I saved mine and Covered Clothes pins.  I did them for my oldest Son, Dustin that is a Singer, Song Writer, Producers in Nashville TN and He has a new Studio.  This was my gift to him.  YEP  Clothes pins.  I'll have to take pics of what he did with me and You'll be surprised and want to get out your DSP and cover you some.
This is how I "Gifted" them to him and he thought I had purchased them somewhere.  I said NOPE " I made them.  It's hard to impress him, but I think I did.. Or at least he made me feel like I did.  Any way.. While at Convention Mary Ellen showed how to use these with our sponges!  I was thrilled for another use for them.

I used our tombo glue Measured the clothes pin.  (There are different lengths)  who knew.  Cut the card stock just a smig larger and applied the DSP to the pin with the glue on it.  Then after it dried, I used my sanding block to smooth off the edges and then sponged some Crumb Cake over them to make them look old.  I couldn't stop!  I bought a pack of 40 and did them all!
Have some fun today!   Just for fun.. Google Clothes pins and see ALL the uses for them!

emboss resist

This was inspired by June Dunn.  She made a swap for convention that used the technique "emboss resist".  My card looks nothing like hers as I used a different layout and stamp set, but the technique is the same.  Image was stamped with versa mark and then embossed with White embossing powder on glossy card stock ( you can do this on non glossy card stock)

Then I sponged "pool party and Island Indigo" ink.  The image resist the ink and you get this beautiful look.  I added punched flowers from the "itty Bitty Shapers punch pack and topped off with our fun pearls.  The new 3/8 Ruffled Ribbon that is available in all the NEW in colors is amazing!

Hope you will try this technique.  If you don't have these tools, call me and I will be honored to order them for you. Heat Tool #100005, Powder Pals #102197, Embossing buddy #103083
Have fun and stamp something today!

Did You know?

Like this?  Did you know that you can purchase the clear monunt Stamp cases in packs of four?  Look on page 205 of your NEW Idea Book and Catalog.  These are the same cases your clear mount stamps come in, they have the same pocket plastic surrounding them which make them so much fun to decorate, and make great storage for all kind of goodies.
This is one we decorated at Club last week.  I used the beautiful new stamp set "Creative Elements" found on page 137.  It's a set of 8 and also has a coordinating wheel, "fabulous Foliate"  I used the New Designer Series paper "Well Worn"  It is yummy!  I love it!  The lace is inside the protective cover and the flower is one the outside!  I plan on creating more!  Hope you'll try some too!
You can place an order through me via email or go directly to my website.

first Birthday!

Lillie had her first birthday 7-21-11!  Cohen Made this B'day card for Lillie!
We took Lillie to Pet's Mart to pick out a toy,  She also got a bath and her bangs trimmed!  Pet's mart was really crowded and Lillie was clueless that she was to pick a toy, so We came home empty handed.  (she really has more toys than she needs)   My Brother's two kids along with Cohen, Dillon & Big D all went along for the fun!
Lillie after her hair cut and bangs trimed.  One year old.

I love being your Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

I truly do love being YOUR Stampin' Up! Demonstrator!  Inside this bag is a snail leash.  Yep because my snail is never where it should be!  This is one of the cute items I purchased at the M' Mall at convention. I purchased one for each of my club members.  The Stamp Set was one that we received free for attending our break out classes, which was new this year and another one of those things SU does to go above and beyond for us!  I used the new Desinger Frames embossing folders which just so happens that our wide oval punch fits right in!  I was thrilled to find that out!  I had such fun making these goodies for my Club members.
