The Holy Family
this card was inspired by a card my friend Ginny made. I changed it up a bit so now I can call it my own...hehe The back ground is stamped with our Sanded Backgroud stamp. It's all stamped in Soft suede, tore the edges and sponged lightly with the soft suede to make it look old. I love how simple and pretty this turned out. This is one of the card my Card Club made this month.

Boy and Girl Bear
Look! Aren't they just the cutest! What fun these were to make. These are made with the Build a Bear dies that are available in our Holiday Mini Catalog and the BIG SHOT! I made this Boy Bear for my Son Dillon, who is going to be 29 on the 30th of this month. I know it a bit juvenile, but I know he'll think it clever and cute. If you click on the pic you can get a closer view and notice the chest hairs coming out of his shirt! hehehe. I'ts so Dillon. His Tie is made from the pom pom/tassel on the santa hat that come with the Santa suit. I trimmed down the hat to make it a more skull sock hat, cause Dillon almost always has a hat on.. The Girl Bear I made for Cohen my 5year old granddaughter. We just made a visit to the Build a Bear store while I was visiting with her in Nashville, Tn. Can't wait to mail it! Watch for a build a bear class coming soon.. You'll want to come and fix up your bear!

Thankful Thoughts
Again another card we made at Stamp Camp this past Saturday. This was taught to me by June, she demoed this at our downline meeting. I changed it up a bit . This wreath is so fun to make and looks so pretty. As June pointed out sometimes we over looked the small pieces of a Stamp set. The wreath is made with two stamps from the "Autumn Days" Stamp set on Page 92 of the Current IB&C. Layered with different colors and the Thankful thoughts of you is from the Grateful Greetings set in the Holiday Mini. Finishing touch is some of the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint applied with a sponge dauber. It just makes it so pretty. Thanks for looking! Hope you'll make lots of these!

Technique We learned at Convention
Ok you girls know I don't do video's (would if I had a camera and knew how) but this technique is really a cool one we learned at Convention. When you have a stamp like this one that you'd like several colors on it. One way is to use your markers to color in each part. It's a great technique but if you have lots of cards you want to make it can really be time consuming. So SU show us how to create our own ink pad with our reinkers. Ok her's my attempt to tell you how..
I used a peice of felt. Stamped the image with black stazon on to the felt. Took a permanent marker and drew a line around where the wooden block would be. ( that is making your position for your stamp. then use your reinkers to place dots of ink over each part of your image that you stamped on the felt. It will look really ugly. Then line your stamp up with the marks you made on the felt for where your stamp should be, and you will get the multi colors you want for the stamps. It's so cool.. I hope I have explained it where you can understand it. If not attend one of my classes or other Stamping events soon and I'd love to show you in person.

Big Shot!
I have gone crazy with my big shot! I've been cutting flowers from the Flower's fold Die (exclusively from Stampin Up!) this stripped material is a wool sweater I bought at a yardsale! My friend Dana gave me the idea to buy old wool clothing and use for these flowers. I had already bought a bunch of material and so I had a table FULL of cut flowers. I plan on working on these at the retreat this coming weekend.. but once I got started I couldn't stop.
These are the flowers I finished last night. I've made about a dozen more but gave them away. I have enough material to make lots! They are so fun! December 5th in Metropolis I'll have a booth for a Christmas bazzar and I'll be selling these along with other goodies (stay tuned for that info)
This is one of the wool ones I made from the sweater I cut up.. It turned out so cute! I actually know the girl who owned the sweater so I'm thinking of giving her one!
Thanks for stopping by... Stay tuned... Sorry it's been a bit since I've posted.. I'll try to do better this week.
