New additions to my Stamproom

I bought these from a friend. Her Husband made them and I'm thrilled to have them as an addition to my stamp room. I am still playing around with what I'm going to do with them.

I intend to start having kits for sales and will have a great place to display them

Moved my "main" stamp table back to the middle of my room. I was still in the middle of cleaning when I took these pictures so you will see random things that are not usually in my room. Thanks for looking and hope you'll come by and see the room at my next Class.

I know Easter is not right around the corner, but it never hurts to have some ideas going long before. These are two of my favorite from the Samples from Leadership. I don't know who did the first one. (wish I did)

But this one was done by one of the girls on my team. JUNE DUNN. June is an amazing stamper, I am always in awe of her designs. I think this card should have won the contest, but I can say it did in my book! Great Job June. Hope this helps with some ideas for Easter

Do you like Gnomes? I have always thought they were a bit creepy, but these cards make me like them. This is from the set "Gnome Sweet Gnome" in the mini catalog on page 41. The Baby Gnome is my favorite one. I didn't make these cards I'm just sharing from Leadership displays. They were all hung on a clothes line that is why you see a clothes pin on each one. Try Some!

Snickers Cookies

1-C Sugar, 1-C Brown Sugar, 1-C butter

1-C peanut butter, 1-1/2 tsp. Vanilla, 2-eggs

3-C Flour, 1-tsp baking powder, 1-tspbaking soda

¼ tsp salt, 40 Snicker bite sized candy bars

Beat sugar, brown sugar, butter, peanut butter

and vanilla together. Add eggs and continue beating.

In a separate bowl, sift together flower, baking powder,

baking soda and salt. Add to wet ingredients and mix well.

Make 1-inch dough balls, sticking a snicker candy

in the middle of each ball.

Bake at 375 for 13-16 minutes, until golden brown.

Cool before removing from cookie sheet

I wanted this set when I first saw the new Catalog back in July. Been waiting to use it. Love making the lolly's with the simply score tool! With Practice I know you will love them too. Just a tip, Score the whole sheet of 12x12 paper at 1/4" and then cut into 1" strips.

Made this "B" for Reid and Carrie for Christmas, I wrapped yarn around and around and around! Topped it off with a pompom style flower and layered two SU Buttons in the middle. I stocked up on the buttons that were on the clearance. I love Buttons!

This is the same "B" but some how my pictures look different... Not the best photographer!

Candy Cane Christmas Fabric

Candy Cane Christmas Fabric is not just for "Christmas" I love the patterns and the colors! You can find all the Designer Fabric on page 196 of the Idea book and Catalog. I cut 1" strips and then tore the fabric, I used all three of the XL Fat Quarters! Rolled it in to a ball after tying them together.

Then I got out my Knitting needles and started kntting with this. Casted on 12 stitches and knitted to what size I thought the would make a good dish cloth size.. I got 4 dish cloths from this ball. This was so much fun I'm going to try it again.

The look is really shabby and I like that. I'm going to give one a try after dinner.

I spent the last two days! Yes Days getting my craft room all organized. I wanted to see just what all I had...lol Ribbon's all in order, I have a BAD habit of just throwing them back in there when I'm done. New Year "to do" Put them back!

I think I know where everything is. There are a few cabinets and drawers I want to clean out but for now I'm ready for the new year!

My Station! This is where it all goes down! This is on wheels so it is easy to move around

Wish I'd taked that tacky stool out of the way.. It was in there cause I needed to get up high to clean... Also left my cleaning stuff out.. Oh well

Fun Flower Die!

My Big Shot and Fun Flower die has had a work out! I have had so much fun creating these flowers from upcycled t-shirts! I shared with you the scarfs, here is what I did with some of the scraps from the "Sleeves" and I been wearing them as wrist cuff's! SO Fun!

Really hard to get a pic of my scarfs, but I think you get the idea. They were a big hit this year for the gift giving.

Stampin' Up! has some amazing home decor vinyls for your walls or just about any where! This Big "EAT" is in my Dinning room. When I first put it up, my husband said do we really need a sign that tells us to eat? I think so, just in case I forget! I decided to dress it up a bit. I found this frame at a second had place that had a very outdated ugly picture in it. I loved the frame so decided to upcycle it. It was the perfect size for my eat! I love how it turned out!

Hello Friends! I am glad to be back blogging. Early last month my Blog would not accept any new entrys, Finally got that back on target, and then Mom had a fall and seems like I didn't get on line as much. Well I'm Back! Wanted to share with you some of the new fabric that will be out starting the first of January 2012, "Twitterpatter". It just sounds fun! My friend Nancy sewed these up for me, I Made the flowers, using the FUN FLOWERS Die! and my Big Shot! This die is a must HAVE! Have you missed me.. I found out that the reason that my blog was not working is that it was FULL! So several old post from 2009 have been deleted. I've been working on so many projects and had bunches of classes since I checked in last. This is one of them taking T-shirts and turning them in to scarfs! I love this. Then I use the scraps to make these flowers to attach to them

In October I along with other demonstrators attended the Louisville, KY Regional, and one of the presenters and good friend Linda Heller Showed us all how to take an envelope and decorated it and turn it into a way to give a Gift Card. I was lucky enough to get the sample and I came home and changed up some cardstock and designed one for Stamp Camp!

Pumpkin from TP

First before you think I have really lost it, Hang on and I'll show you how you can use this Roll of Toilet Paper to make a Pumpkin. Ok So You will need a roll of TP, newspaper, Or Tissue paper, a stick and a fat quarter of material. Of Course I will be using some of SU's Fabric.

First thing squish down the toilet paper. I do suggest you get the single not double roll.. It was tough squishing this double roll.

Then take the newspaper or tissue paper and begin to fold it up and stuffing it in to the toilet paper tube.

I used my bone folder to stab in in. Here is my material. This is from the Beau Chateau designer fabric. You can find all our beautiful designer fabric on page 196.

Fold up the fabric like you did the news paper and stuff it in the tube too. Again use your bone folder to secure it.

I went outside to get a stick (I guess that is were all sticks are) and stuffed it in the center

I then used some of our linen thread to wrap around the stem and then used the coordinating designer paper and cut some leaves out with the big shot and the "Leaves" die. I'm going tomorrow to get some "single" rolls and try them.. Try some and email them to me! It took all of 5 minutes to make! How fun! Toilet paper pumpkins!

A Turkey Nugget

He is So Stinkin Cute! Not my orginal idea but my twist on the inspiration. Starting with the Owl Punch, cut off his ears! gently! use the 5 petal flower punch with Pumpkin pie and More mustard card stock to make his feathers. The heart that is included on the owl punch is his gobbler, and the eyes are also included on the owl punch. The Nugget is stashed inside this easy tent. Cut the card stock at 1 3/4 x 5', and score at 2" and 3" on your new Simply Score pad! Oh you don't have one yet! It is a must! You will LOVE it and wonder how you ever crafted with out it!

We used pillow cases cause we didn't want our bags to bust and that way we'd have plenty of room for all that CANDY! I used my new Simply Score tool to make these "matchbooks" that hold Candy

These are the how they looked before the lace was added.

You want to stamp the images first then send it through your big shot to embossed, then I use our champane shimmer paint to a lightly sponge over the top to make them look so pretty.

Everything you wanted to know about being a Stampin Up! Demonstrator

Being a demonstrator looks like fun, but what do I have to do? You sign up with another demonstrate (me, I hope!) Who will be your mentor and partner as you get started? You pick out your starter kit goodies, including stamp sets, Ink Pads, etc, and you send in those two forms with a credit card number to cover the starter Kit. That’s It!

v How many workshops am I required to do as a demonstrator? There is no requirement that you do a certain number of workshops, attend group meetings, etc. Your only requirement as a demonstrator is that you submit $300 in Merchandise orders each quarter. You get to decide how much you want to work.

v That doesn’t seem too hard. Can those be my own orders and my friends’ orders, or do they have to come from workshops? Your orders can come from anyone. Stampin’ Up! has demonstrators who do this full-time, part-time or playtime. It is entirely up to you.

v How much do I make from each workshop? When you send in an order, you keep 20% of the merchandise total (not the tax or shipping) as instant income.

v But can you actually make money doing this? The average workshop is $325, so the average earnings per workshop would be $65. I bet you can think of some fun things to do with the extra income! And there are demonstrators who earn six figure incomes doing this full-time. Of course, that doesn’t happen instantly. But If you want to build a business, I will support you in that process-and Stampin’ Up! has lots of great tools to help you develop your business skills.

v Do I get free stamps or other benefits? You bet! If you place orders for Stamp sets, paper, etc that you use yourself or at a workshop, you can place it as a hostess order and get the same benefits as your hostesses. That means that you can earn the free hostess stamps, plus 10% in free merchandise plus your 20% instant income. And there are lots of special promotions from Stampin’Up! where you can earn free stamps as well as other great goodies.

v What kind of great goodies? There are also terrific benefits for demonstrators who are working towards business goals. One is great rewards, where you can earn prizes based on your total quarterly sales. There is an online prize catalog what includes everything from Stampin’ Up! merchandise, to logo clothing, to electronics and other personal items. The other great motivator is the annual all expense-paid demonstrator CRUISE-past destinations have been to Alaska, the Caribbean and Mexico.

v Sounds great, but what if I don’t make my minimum order? Do I get some kind of call or penalty? No penalty at all. You do not have to meet the minimum until the end of your first full quarter as a demonstrator. So if you signed up in October, you would need to place a minimum order before the end of March. And you even get and extra month to get current if you miss the end of quarter deadline. Pretty easy, Huh?

v Do I have to recruit other demonstrators? I just want to stamp. Building a strong demonstrator organization is a key part of the stampin’ Up! business model, and important if you are trying to build your own business. However, it is up to you how much emphasis you put on personal sales and how much on recruiting. There are demonstrators who joined just to improve their personal stamping Sills and the company supports you whatever your goals are.

v So if I wanted to quit, I could just not order? Life is full of changes, so if you decide that this isn’t the best time for you to be a demonstrator, you can either formally resign, or just quit ordering and let your demonstrator status lapse. Demonstrators sometime go from an active business to one that is limited to order for friend and family, and then back to growing their business. Your personal like comes first and your business can change to accommodate that.

v What if I wanted to start up again? You would have to repurchase the starter kit and sign a new demonstrator agreement. That’s it.

v Sounds easy. But if I sign up, I’m not sure how to get started. What kind of help can I get? There are lots of sources of help for your When you sign up through me, I will help you determine your own goals for your business and suggest options for getting started. I will also get you in touch with other demonstrators to find out what has worked for them

o I also try to get together with everyone who signed up through me so we can do stamping discuss what works for each of us and just socialize. One of the best things about stampin’ Up! is the FRIENDS you make!

o Stampin’ Up! provides training through their Stampin’ Success monthly magazine, their website and a six month series of newsletter designed specifically for new demonstrators.

v I’m not really creative. Don’t demonstrators have to be expert stampers and come up with tons of new ideas? Actually, what demonstrators really need to be good at is encouraging others who think they are not creative to give stamping a try. Inspiration is everywhere with Stampin’ Up! but two special places are the Stampers’ Showcase online and the monthly magazine, Stampin’ Success. You will love seeing the ideas and turning them into fabulous projects. There are also demonstrator’s swaps that give you lots of samples and ideas as well. You want to keep your workshop projects simple and easy for your customers to reproduce.

After our fun time golfing we went back to the club house where we found this table setting

Oh my and then more food. I think we had more food on this trip that we get on the cruise!

Our pillow gift for the last night was this amazing Charms made with SU's babbles and this cute tea cup. The bottom of the tea cup was engraved with "Founder's Circle 2011"

I had just mentioned at breakfast that how cool would it be if we received trophy's so we could display them in our stamp rooms, and walla there it was! Amazing! I love Stampin' Up! and the opportunity to be with such an amazing company and to meet such amazing women! Thank YOU Stampin' Up! for an amazing trip!

Fastest Stamper

Not all of the games were golf related on each of the 9 holes.. One was who's the fastest Stamper... I had to stamp an image in the square in the fastest time. I took this job for our team and guess what I was the fastest stamper!

We had to guess in 30 seconds how many stamps were in the bowl with out taking them out. There were just over 200 and we guessed 195 We were the closest

We were bussed to a beautiful golf course. We got in our teams that were assigned the first day. We are the "Tea Coozies" FYI our team won the event! There were 17 teams of 7.

As you can tell I don't golf.. and we are golfing with marshmellows! YEP Safer that way

Each Day there is a Plinko board at the Gathering Place and we get Prizes. Today I got one of the Letterpress Fancy Fan! Can't wait to play with it when I get home! See the purse in the back ground. My purchase today at a cute shop in downtown Kanab. I guess you can say it's from SU, because I used the Gift card I earned from my Great Reward points that are one of the amazing perks I receive from being a SU demonstrator! All of this is available to YOU if you are willing to join SU and Share what you love with others!

Our Pillow gift tonight after returning from the Tuacahn Amphitheatre was this OMG CUTE Apron made out of SU Fabric! LOVE IT!

This is the flower that is on the pocket and it is removable to use as a pin.

It was all folded up in this small box that is for the small dies for our big shot, of course it was decorated and tagged!

Day Three Founder's

Shelli (CoFounder and CEO of Stampin' Up) and Me at Kanab facility. She has an amazing apartment upstairs that is fully furnished for her, her family and others that need a place to stay when coming to visit the Manufacturing facility.

I have been blessed to have taken the tour before but this one is the best yet. One thing is to see how happy the employees are to work for such a great company. Other is that from year to year see the growth. Which in this day and time that is not usually the case.

We were taken to the park for lunch. This park was redesigned by donations from Stampin Up!. It is a beautiful park with the mountian in the background. We were served lunch in these CUTE baskets.. A yummy assortment of fresh veggies and fruit, along with potatoe salad and a turkey sandwich.. I'm talking like the turkey that make those great after thanksgiving sandwich kind of turkey.

On the spot Creme Brulee' served along with other yummy deserts, like keylime pie, cheese cake and Chocolate. It was one high class Picnic

Each night on our bed is a pillow gift, We get gifts all day long but it is like SU Santa is here to leave us yet another treasure. Inside this popcorn bowl included an invite to the Disney's "The Little Mermaid" Live show at the Tuacahn Amphitheatre here in St George Utah.

Today warents Two post... possibly three.. I am off to our business share and card swap in about 30 minutes.. so you might want to stay tuned. But today my Friend Patsy and I went to Susan Adams' Stamp room! OMG You just can't image. She not only is a Stamper but a Quilter. She and Janet Baker design quilts together and make them. This one has her Grand Children's name on the stockings. The stockings are cut with our Big Shot and then new Stocking Die found in the Holiday Mini

This is Janet on the left. She was the 2nd Demonstrator to sign up with Stampin' Up! back in the Day. It was such a joy to listen to the beginnings, growth and trials to what we enjoy today.

Each month as a SU demonstrator we receive a magazine. Stampin' Success featured these cute "sour cream" (thats what I call them) are a great way to give a sweet gift. These are really easy to make and without a lot of supplies. I took the fabric and snipped about a 3/4 inch and then tore it into strips. This is what is tied around this container. The container itself is a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 piece of Card stock. If you'd like more instructions in box me and I'd be glad to help you.
